Coach Ridgeway

Coach Ridgeway has served as a Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach at East Coweta High School for the past 10 years and previously spent one year as a Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach at Statesboro High School. An accomplished baseball and softball coach with over a decade of experience, Coach Ridgeway has played a key role in leading championship-caliber programs and developing athletes who have advanced to NCAA Division I programs and professional baseball organizations.

As the program’s First Base Coach and Defensive Coordinator, Coach Ridgeway leads defensive strategy and player development, helping set program records for fielding percentage and fewest errors in a season. He is widely recognized for his expertise in defensive instruction, innovative practice design, and his ability to build disciplined, winning cultures. Coach Ridgeway designs and implements comprehensive practice plans, defensive training systems, and long-term player development programs focused on both performance and growth.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Ridgeway is the creator of Ground_Up Media, a platform dedicated to providing innovative defensive training resources for athletes and coaches.

A graduate of East Coweta High School in 2011, Coach Ridgeway earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Georgia Southern University in the spring of 2016. He later completed a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia in the summer of 2018 and earned a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia in the fall of 2021.

Coach Ridgeway is married to his wife, Kalyn. They have a daughter, Stella, a newborn son, Rhodes, and a pug named Shaw.
